February 15, 7:00 p.m. ~ Andrew L. Tuttle Memorial Museum Town & Gown Series Presents "Indexing the Phelps Journal," Schomburg Auditorium, Defiance College Campus

Edwin Phelps, an early settler of the Defiance area, worked on the Miami and Erie Canal and later became prominent in local politics. Dr. Don Buerk and the Defiance College students will share why and how they compiled an index to the journal Phelps wrote that records the early history of the community.

Spangler SistersFebruary 18, 7:00 p.m. ~ DCCC Performance Series Presents Spangler Sisters, Stroede Center for the Arts

Arranger, composer, and pianist Julie Spangler performs with her sister Lora, a performer with the Toledo Repertory Theater and Crosby Opera House. Their concert presents a program from the American Song Book and musical theater. Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

Whenever the Big Band Sound of the DCCB performs, you can expect to hear the music of Miller and Ellington among others. This year is no exception. Enjoy an evening of listening and dancing to the familiar Big Band repertoire. Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

Nationally acclaimed fiddler, composer, and arranger, Jamie Laval is hailed as "one of North America's finest practitioners of Scottish music." His unique approach to traditional Celtic music resonates with devotees of ethnic jazz and classical music. Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

Cavatina Duo has captivated audiences with its electrifying performances across North America. The repertoire of flutist Eugenia Moliner and guitarist Denis Azabagic includes music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, while also featuring music of their native lands of Spain and the Balkans. Tickets are $10.00 at the door.

Barb Sedlock, Defiance College archivist, will trace the history of the Defiance College from 1917 to 1945 through photographs and documents.

Rusty Cottrell will portray the Shawnee Native American Black Hoof who played an important role during the War of 1812.
